We are a socially aware company and since September 2005 we have worked with Manav Sadhna, Shvaas, the Blind Peoples Association and a Gharar Ghar (old peoples home). At Manav Sadhna we have worked on the building of a community centre, a women’s rag picker initiative, a TB education monitoring programme and a science class for children in the Gandhi Ashram.
Our approach is based on our understanding
that we have a contribution to make to the community in
which we do our work, not at some unspecified point in the
future, but now, however small that contribution is. We
take the work we do in the community as seriously as our
client focused work. The first step is to establish a
personal connection, the second step
is to ensure we add value to their lives be deploying our
skills in an effective manner. Our team have made progress
in achieving both of these goals and are now gaining recognition
for working with both sincerity and spirit in the community.
We have invited a number of guest speakers
and social entrepreneurs to talk to the team to re-enforce
our social values and provide a broader perspective on the
ideas and purpose of our work in the community.
After each voluntary day
we encourage those team members that have participated to
write and share their experience with the team via email.
